We are excited to help spread the word that well-known author and speaker Dr. Ralph Martin will be giving a series of three talks at Sacred Heart Cathedral on April 14 and 15.
Please plan to attend (and remember to register)! We hope to see you there!
If you’d like a preview, you can sample (or voraciously consume, in a temperant fashion, of course!) his podcast here.
Thank you to all of the men who took part in the first meeting of the the St. Michael’s Family Protection Institute last night at Sacred Heart Cathedral!
An unofficial estimation suggested that the goal of 300 men was reached, and, it was a truly prayerful and moving two hours.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible, most especially to Fr. Van Lieshout, Deacon Michael Kristan and the speakers!
We look forward to the next SMFPI meeting!
The Rector and Deacon at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Rochester, Fr. Van Lieshout and Deacon Michael Kristan, are looking for a few good men to take a stand against pornography, which has become an ever-increasing scourge on our society…300 men to be exact!
We are asking YOU to help them spread the word!
They will be hosting a Presentation and Holy Hour at Sacred Heart Cathedral on March 27th, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm.
...prayer constitutes the strongest incentive for the Christian family to assume and comply fully with all its responsibilities as the primary and fundamental cell of human society. Thus the Christian family's actual participation in the Church's life and mission is in direct proportion to the fidelity and intensity of the prayer with which it is united with the fruitful vine that is Christ the Lord.
We are part of the Mystical Body of Christ and so whether or not you have ever personally struggled with pornography, so long as this affects even one of our brothers, this has, is, and will continue to affect you. Please join us on March 27th!
The CMA is again offering their Medical Student & Resident Boot Camp, which will be held June 11 to 18, 2023 @ Ave Maria University in Florida.
This is a great opportunity to meet fellow Catholic’s in medical training…and…expenses for the Boot Camp are covered by the CMA!
If you are a Catholic medical student or resident interested in attending, please check out the details
If you find application fee and/or travel expenses to be prohibitive, please let us know. We are happy to discuss how we might help.
From our home Diocese of Rochester:
Proponents of doctor-assisted suicide are making a full court press to legalize this deadly practice in New York State, and lawmakers need to hear from their constituents if we hope to avoid yet another assault on human life here. Assisted suicide is dangerous for patients, caregivers, and vulnerable populations such as the elderly and people with disabilities. Suicide is not medical care. Please tell your State Senate and Assembly representatives that you oppose this dangerous and deadly practice. Contact your state legislators now!
For more information and to find your state legislator please visit https://www.nyscatholic.org/action-center/
We, of course, agree entirely! Please do use the link above, or your own favorite method, to let your elected representatives know that Physician Assisted Suicide is not health care!
