Thank you to everyone who joined us for Journal Club at St. Bernard’s on February 26th! We had a great, and lively(!), discussion.
We are hoping host Journal Club 3-4 times yearly. We will be looking for people to choose articles and lead the discussion. If you’re interested, please let us know and we’d be happy to provide any assistance you’d like (e.g., choosing an article, preparing discussion points, etc.).
It is with joy that we welcome Bishop John Bonnici as Bishop Designate for the Diocese of Rochester. We look forward to working with His Excellency, Bishop Bonnici, and we ask that you join us in praying for him and his new Episcopate.
We also thank Bishop Matano for his tireless leadership these past 12 years. We cannot say enough about the support he has provided to the Guild and the larger Rochester medical community. We will continue to pray for him as he continues to lead our diocese in the coming months.
We wanted to let you know about an exciting talk being held at the U of R this Monday (Oct 27), organized by local chapter of the Thomistic Institute. If you’re free, we hope to see you there!

Update (8/14/25) – We are sorry to say that this conference has been canceled. There are plans to reschedule for Spring of 2026.

Dr. Lada and Dr. Carroll had the opportunity to visit the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Elmira yesterday. They were invited to discuss faith and medicine. It was a wonderful group who were very kind, interested, and asked great questions!

Thank you to Jan Ziembicki (pictured – far left) for organizing!
